I am a graduate student in graphic design based in Chicago. This is a collection of my work—a reflection of where I am and what I am learning. Through projects and creative experiments, I am understanding my approach to work and expanding my visual vocabulary with materials and tools both digital and physical. I am drawn to the ways we express, the ways we share, the quiet questions in between. What do you see? How do you understand?
The sequence introduces the story of a soccer game in Hong Kong. Beginning with scenes of the city, double-decker buses, dense high-rises, and urban life, typography moves across the screen and crumbles. A drifting cloud and a name spinning onto the screen interrupts the frame and shifts the tone. The background video becomes a dirt field overlayed over a grassy field, then a soccer field. Names roll in with clumsy motion, gradually gaining speed and confidence. Finally, the title Shaolin Soccer bursts onto the screen, fiery and bold, capturing the film’s essence, finding the joy and fire in your heart in the mundanity of our modern lives.
